A little piece of sunshine

Hi all! Happy Monday again, I should I say, sad Monday? Monday never was my favorite and will never be. I love the freedom of weekends to much to love Mondays. Anyway, I wish you a lovely new week. Unfortunately, the weather this weekend really sucked, but this week is going to be awesome, as this week I'm going to the Press days in Antwerp, whoop whoop. It's my first time that I'm going to attend the Press days, but I think they are just fabulous and fantastic. Stay tuned, as a full report will be on the blog afterwards. Back to the present (and the past), as this is an outfit I photographed last week, together with Nikki from the Ginger Diaries. The weather was amazing that day, the sun was shining, the blossoms were alive and it was almost weekend. The perfect combination.

When it's spring, let's say freezing cold in the morning and lovely warm in the afternoon, I never know what to wear. I don't want to freeze to dead when I'm off to work, but I also don't want to sweat like a horse in the afternoon. For that, I always try to wear as many layers as possible, even if that isn't practical at all (you have to carry all your layers with you). I choose for a basic outfit and a little piece of sunshine to combine with this look. Trop is to much for me. When I choose for a statement handbag, or necklace, or sweater, or whatever, I want to make sure that the rest of my outfit is basic and with not to much color. Visa versa is the same. These basic items really are the best. For my opinion, everyone need to have a basic black pants and a white shirt. The yellow handbag is my little piece of heaven in this look. Within 1 week, I have to go to my grandparents golden wedding (or how do you say that in English?!) and I bought a lovely dress with some yellow details. And for that reason, I bought this little sunshine. An outfit post about that look will definitely follow. For now, I don't have anything to say except for wishing you a fun and lovely week.
